Trip to Arley Hall
Coach Trip to Arley Hall and Gardens, Northwich Cheshire
Social Secretary Marion Sherriff organised a visit by some members of the club and guests to Arley Hall on Tuesday the 19th August 2008.
President Susan is a keen and knowledgeable garden enthusiast and so dodging the showers the party was able to see the excellent gardens for which Arley is famous.
Photographs of some of the flowers appear in the “Gallery” – how many can you name?
The party enjoyed lunch in the Tudor Barn Restaurant. Went round the Hall itself and inspected Chapel during the afternoon after a Bishop and his team of clergymen had completed their contemplation for which purpose they had booked exclusive occupation.
The Gift Shop and the Plant Nursery were also patronised following which the party returned to the Coach and then Rochdale with a feeling that it had been a good day out full of fellowship and fun but very little sunshine
